Our Cupboard serves about 100 needy Montgomery County families each week, providing free groceries in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our free clothing room offers clean, gently used clothes for men, women and children.
Each week, we offer our patrons their choice of fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, breads, and other essentials in our fully stocked market room. We are totally staffed by volunteers, who donate their time and talents to reduce hunger in the community.
The National Council for Aging Care is dedicated to helping communities across the country educate seniors and those who care for them.
The Facts Behind Senior Hunger: http://www.aginginplace.org/the-facts-behind-senior-hunger addresses some of the causes, complications, and cures for senior food insecurity. Check it out.
